Refund Policy
We want you to be happy with TypeLords. If you're not, this page explains when and how you can get your money back.
1. Eligibility window
You may request a refund within 7 daysof your purchase, provided you have not significantly used the service. We consider "significant use" to be participation in more than 20 TypeWars from your account after purchase.
Refunds requested after 7 days, or after significant use, are generally not granted, but we'll consider edge cases on their merits — write to us and explain.
2. How to request a refund
Email ping@typelords.com from the address registered on your TypeLords account. Include:
- The email address on your TypeLords account.
- Your invoice number (e.g., TLIND10042 or TLINT10042).
- A short reason for the refund — it helps us improve.
We aim to respond within 2 business days and process approved refunds within 7 business days from approval.
3. How refunds are returned
- PayU (India): Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Bank or card refunds typically reach you within 5–10 business days after we initiate them, depending on your bank.
- PayPal (international): Refunds are returned to your PayPal balance or the original card. PayPal usually completes this within 3–5 business days.
If you paid in INR, we refund in INR. If you paid in USD, we refund in USD. We do not charge any refund processing fee on our side; some banks charge currency-conversion fees on refunds, which are outside our control.
4. What happens after a refund
Once your refund is processed, we revoke the lifetime-access flag on your account. Your account stays active in non-paid mode and your battle history is preserved unless you ask us to delete it.
5. Cases we don't refund
- Accounts terminated for cheating, abuse, or violating our Terms of Service.
- Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after purchase where significant use has occurred.
- Charges that succeeded on the payment gateway but where you also file a chargeback or dispute with your bank — we treat these as mutually exclusive remedies.
6. Failed or duplicate payments
If your card was charged but your TypeLords account did not receive lifetime access (rare, but it can happen if the payment gateway confirms after a timeout), email us with your transaction reference and we'll fix it. If a duplicate charge occurred, we'll refund the duplicate at no cost to you.
7. Service shutdown
If we ever decide to discontinue TypeLords, lifetime members purchased within the previous 12 months will receive a pro-rated refund. See our Terms of Service Section 5 for details.
